Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in London seeks a Senior UI Software Engineer (Vice President) to own the frontend for FX trading platforms, delivering robust, user-friendly GUIs for traders and integrating AI-assisted tooling.

You will work across globally distributed teams, enforce interoperability standards with FDC3, and help guide architecture, testing, and performance optimization in a fast-paced environment.

Hybrid work up to two days per week with strong compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering complex web platforms in production.
• Expert-level TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with desktop containers: Chromium, Electron, or OpenFin; FDC3 interoperability.
• Experience with real-time messaging systems: Kafka, Solace, or Tibco.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality trading GUIs for internal and external traders.
• Define interoperability standards across web apps using FDC3 and REST/WebSocket APIs.
• Lead AI integration in development lifecycle.
• Drive performance engineering and low-latency data delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth.
