Job summary
Citi London is seeking a Senior UI Software Engineer (VP) to lead the design and delivery of advanced trading GUIs for internal and external traders. You will drive interoperability standards across web applications using FDC3, and champion AI-assisted development while ensuring low-latency data delivery and robust architecture.
The role requires expert TypeScript/React expertise, strong knowledge of HTML5/CSS/ES6+, and experience with real-time messaging systems.
Qualifications
- Solid experience building and deploying complex web UI platforms.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Familiarity with OpenFin/Electron and FDC3 for interoperability.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality trading GUIs for traders.
- Define and enforce interoperability standards across web apps using FDC3 and REST/WebSocket APIs.
- Drive AI integration in the development lifecycle (AI-assisted coding, test generation, monitoring).
- Improve UI performance engineering: profiling, rendering, bundle analysis, low-latency data delivery.
- Contribute to architecture decisions for large-scale front-end systems and design system adoption.
- Promote best practices in TDD, code reviews, and AI-assisted tooling.
