Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President for Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in Birmingham to build and evolve reliable, observable platforms supporting critical services. You will lead architecture reviews, establish SLOs/SLIs, and champion blameless post-mortems across a large engineering organization.

The role requires deep distributed system expertise, strong coding skills in Java/Python/Node.js, and extensive experience with IaC, containers, and cloud-native architectures.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience in software or SRE roles.
• Strong experience with cloud and container platforms.
• Proven ability to lead in complex distributed systems.

Responsabilidades

• Set SLOs/SLIs and error budgets with engineering teams.
• Architect highly available, fault-tolerant systems.
• Reduce toil with automation and self-service tooling.
• Improve production readiness with load testing and chaos engineering.
• Lead multi-system incident response and blameless post-mortems.
• Foster healthy on-call models and escalation paths.
