Citigroup in London seeks an experienced risk management professional to join the CPaMP Risk Management team as Vice President. You will shape and deliver the risk and control framework protecting clients and market integrity across a globally connected trading and markets business.

You will inform senior decision-making, strengthen governance, and ensure conduct and compliance risks are identified, assessed, and managed with precision.

Qualifications

• Background in a risk management, compliance, or controls-focused role within financial services.
• Solid knowledge of risk management practices, encompassing risk identification, control evaluation, monitoring frameworks, and regulatory reporting.
• Analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving, with ability to interpret outputs and translate into concise recommendations.
• Hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or Excel VBA for risk analysis, backed by experience with risk and control management systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk assessments using structured challenge processes, evaluating inherent and residual risks.
• Analyse data from risk monitoring to surface trends, risks and patterns for senior management decisions.
• Support stakeholders in deep dives on emerging risk and control gaps to drive timely resolution.
• Coordinate periodic risk appetite assessments and ensure exposure is identified, measured, monitored, and escalated to governance forums.
• Build and sustain relationships with Front Office, Compliance, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit across local and global markets.
• Serve as a subject matter resource on customer protection and market practices risk across all three lines of defence.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies in a complex organisation and escalate concerns for timely resolution.
