Job summary

Archer, collaborating with BNY, seeks a Vice President - Site Reliability Engineer in London to design, build, deploy, and scale automated engineering solutions for Production Services. You will work on full-stack applications, internal tools, and automation to improve resiliency and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Python/Java, React/Angular, Linux, Ansible, Kubernetes, and strong monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong full-stack development experience with hands-on Python and Java.
• Front-end development with React or Angular for operational/engineering use cases.
• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration, scripting, and infrastructure concepts.
• Hands-on Ansible and Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Ability to define and operationalize SLIs/SLOs, dashboards, alerts, and health indicators.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, AppDynamics, Splunk for monitoring/observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and scale centralized engineering solutions for Production Services.
• Develop full-stack applications and internal tools (backend services, APIs, automation, UIs).
• Automate infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and runtime support using Ansible and Kubernetes.
• Improve monitoring, observability, alerts, and service health; reduce toil and increase resiliency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and enterprise-aligned solutions.
• Develop reusable frameworks and components for broad adoption across Production Services.
