You will manage staffing, vendor access, and capacity planning while driving a strong risk and control culture in a regulated enterprise environment.

We’re seeking a motivated technology leader for the role of Vice President, Data Center Operations Manager to join our Infrastructure Platform team. This role is located in Harlow, Essex.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Provide leadership and oversight of data center operations across EMEA, ensuring safe, secure, and compliant execution in a 24x7 mission-critical environment.
• Lead incident response, change execution, and escalation coordination across infrastructure, network, facilities, and security teams.
• Oversee vendor access, onsite activities, and service delivery to maintain operational, security, and compliance standards.
• Drive execution of infrastructure initiatives, including hardware deployments, lifecycle management, structured cabling, and capacity planning.
• Maintain strong operational governance through effective risk management, control adherence, and documentation discipline.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver complex infrastructure activities and major change events with minimal operational risk.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workload prioritization to support a resilient operating model and eliminate single points of failure.
• Leverage monitoring and automation tools to improve efficiency, visibility, and execution discipline while retaining accountability for outcomes.
• Promote a strong risk and control culture aligned with enterprise standards and operational excellence.
• Support continuity of service delivery across EMEA sites while balancing operational priorities and project demand.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in large-scale data center operations.
• Significant experience leading operations in a 24x7 data center or other mission-critical infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including compute, network, storage, power, environmental controls, and structured cabling.
• Demonstrated experience in incident management, change governance, and operational risk management within a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional activities, making timely and risk-informed decisions during high-impact events.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, onsite activities, and access controls in security- and compliance-driven environments.
• Strong knowledge of audit readiness, control frameworks, and regulatory expectations within enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Familiarity with DCIM platforms, monitoring tools, and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive accountability.
• Proven success in building resilient coverage models, managing workload distribution, and maintaining operational continuity.
