Archer is partnering with BNY to recruit a Full-Stack Engineer for Manchester or London. You will lead high‑impact engineering teams, own end‑to‑end delivery, and elevate standards across architecture, testing, and security in a fast-paced financial services setting.

Ideal candidates bring deep Java/Spring experience, strong API design, and hands‑on AI integration. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and operations to drive scalable, resilient systems in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of software engineering teams delivering distributed systems and microservices in agile environments.
• Deep Java experience (Spring) and strong API design for scalable, observable systems.
• Hands-on DevOps practices including CI/CD (GitLab) and automated testing (JUnit/Spock).
• Experience integrating AI into product workflows and using modern AI tooling.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence in complex, regulated domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow inclusive, high‑performing engineering teams.
• Own end-to-end delivery for critical software and ensure reliability.
• Raise engineering excellence with automation, observability, and secure‑by‑design practices.
• Partner with product/design/ops to plan architecture modernization and cloud adoption.
• Represent engineering in governance forums and ensure risk management.
