Job summary

Nomura’s Investment Banking ALF group in London seeks a Vice President to lead structuring and documentation workstreams from marketing to closing, developing strategies to win mandates and coordinating with counsel and external banks. The role requires at least 4 years PQE in leveraged finance, a Qualified Lawyer in England & Wales, and strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

You will partner with internal teams (finance, legal, loan ops) to ensure smooth closings and regulatory

Qualifications

• PQE of at least 4 years in leveraged finance.
• Qualified Lawyer admitted in England and Wales.
• Strong drafting and negotiation of core leveraged finance docs.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deal environment.
• Experience seconded at a bank or financial institution (valued).

Responsibilities

• Lead structuring and documentation workstreams from marketing to closing.
• Develop structuring strategies to win mandates.
• Interact with counsel and other banks on deal documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth closings.
• Present financing structures to Credit Committee.
• Represent ALF team on business change and regulatory initiatives.
• Support resource planning with stakeholders.
