This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our European Equity Sales business in London. Reporting to the UK Head of Cash Equity Sales and the Head of Continental Clients, the role focuses on managing and monetising global research and sales services, overseeing over 200 client relationships. Responsibilities include client contract management, pricing, revenue analysis, and monitoring market share, profitability, and industry trends. The role requires coordination with global teams, strong communication skills, and industry representation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify growth opportunities using internal and external data.
  • Build relationships with industry partners for feedback and growth.
  • Negotiate research pricing and evolve internal pricing structures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting across sales, trading, and research.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, operations, and technology teams to improve processes.
  • Finalize research legal agreements and manage research revenues.
  • Analyze client voting metrics and improve client engagement strategies.
  • Automate and evolve internal metrics related to revenues and client interactions.
  • Coordinate with operations to align global processes.
  • Manage client billing and resolve invoicing issues, understanding commission sharing.
  • Analyze research profitability and manage unbundled research payments.
  • Conduct internal reviews and develop client-specific strategies.
  • Oversee client tiering and implement CRM best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Understand and act on regulatory implications for clients and RBC.
  • Represent RBC professionally at all times.
  • Align with RBC values and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce teams to meet client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and escalate risks promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in European Equity markets and products at a major sell-side firm.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and buy/sell side relationships.
  • Knowledge of MIFID II regulations affecting research pricing and unbundling.
  • Degree or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certified person status.
  • Proven ability to understand client needs and deliver innovative solutions.
