Job summary

J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management seeks an Applied AI ML Lead Engineer, Vice President, to join the engineering team. You will enhance, build, and deliver trusted tech products in a secure, scalable manner while guiding AI-assisted development practices across multiple domains.

You will be a core technical contributor on an agile team, setting engineering standards and driving responsible AI adoption within delivery workflows, with a focus on quality and resilience in production environments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading AI-assisted software development and code review
• Ability to validate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows
• Experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant AI adoption
• Knowledge of the financial services technology landscape
• Proficiency in Python or an equivalent language
• Experience with AWS cloud, Terraform, EKS, ECS
• Strong system and application design knowledge
• Familiarity with CI/CD lifecycles
• Experience with prompt engineering and RAG architectures
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior engineers and product partners

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Establish validation standards for AI-assisted work, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing
• Promote reuse of effective patterns across the team to improve consistency and reliability
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value realized from automation
