Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Software Engineering Lead in the AI/ML Solutions Team to architect and deliver secure, production-grade software systems. You will lead a local team of engineers and AI practitioners, translating business requirements into robust technical roadmaps with Agile methods.

You will drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices, ensure validation standards, and collaborate with product teams to shape the technical vision across the organization globally.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Experience leading software engineering or AI/ML teams delivering production-grade solutions.
• Experience integrating AI/ML techniques into software systems including LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, RAG, AI evals, and coding assistants.
• Ability translate business requirements into robust software and AI/ML specifications and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead a local team of software engineers and applied AI/ML practitioners, driving accountability and engagement.

• Architect, design, and develop secure, high-quality production software systems using Java or Python, integrating AI/ML techniques.

• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Establish consistent validation standards, including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and safe AI outputs.
