The Guards Museum is seeking a Visitor Experience Coordinator (Volunteers) in London. This part-time role (21.5 hours/week) includes welcoming visitors, selling tickets and merchandise, and leading a volunteer team. You will recruit and train volunteers, support events, and ensure an excellent visitor experience.

You will work weekends, bank holidays, and occasionally early mornings or evenings to support events. DBS checks and right-to-work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with a diverse audience.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a small team.
• Interest in British history to provide context for training.
• Experience working with volunteers.
• Experience in a museum or similar visitor-facing environment.
• Experience working with electronic point of sale.

Responsabilités

• Welcome visitors and handle admissions and retail sales.
• Recruit, train, and manage the volunteer rota.
• Drive footfall and upsell experiences.
• Deliver the Uniform Try-on Experience.
• Assist with events and tours.
• Maintain front of house standards and policies.
• Monitor and report on visitor experience.
