Job summary

The National Trust's North & West Lake District Landscapes Portfolio in Keswick is seeking a Volunteer Experience Co-ordinator to lead inclusive volunteering experiences across its properties.

You will recruit, induct, recognise and support volunteers; embed inclusive practices; use data to improve the volunteer journey; work with NT colleagues and community partners from Keswick to Wordsworth House.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting volunteering in a way that is safe, inclusive and enjoyable.
• Ability to coach and support colleagues who work with volunteers.
• Confident in recognising and sharing the benefits volunteers bring to the organisation.
• Ensure volunteers can share their views and feel heard.
• Create more chances for people to get involved in ways that suit them.
• Confident and capable in coaching and developing leadership with team volunteer managers.
• Experience of supporting individuals through challenging conversations and conflict resolution process.

Responsibilities

• Support teams to deliver the full volunteer journey - from recruitment and induction to recognition and exit.
• Embed inclusive practices, remove barriers, and ensure volunteers have a voice in shaping their experience.
• Use data and feedback to improve systems and processes, and help colleagues build confidence in working alongside volunteers.
• Engage with a wide range of people, including National Trust colleagues and volunteers, community members, and partners.
