Job summary

Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery Trust in Carlisle is seeking a part-time Volunteering Assistant to support the Phase 3 project “Breaking Down Barriers”. This fixed-term role (22.5 hours per week) runs until 30 December 2028 and includes working with the Volunteer Manager to recruit, support and train volunteers.

You will help build diverse representation, offer bespoke support to adults and young people, promote wellbeing and coordinate training programmes.

Qualifications

• Excellent admin and IT skills and a people person with a passion for supporting others to build skills and wellbeing.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and support is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Volunteer Manager to recruit, support and train volunteers.
• Focus on building diverse representation within the volunteer workforce.
• Provide bespoke support for adults and young people needing additional support.
• Assist with wellbeing and training opportunities for volunteers.
• Administer and deliver the Active Gallery Volunteer Training programme.
