Job summary

West Midlands Fire Service is inviting applications for a Volunteer Advisor in Birmingham. This role supports the delivery, development and administration of volunteering across WMFS, working with volunteers and external partners to strengthen community engagement and ensure safeguarding and best practice.

Reporting to the Volunteering Manager, you will help create a positive, inclusive volunteering journey from recruitment to recognition, while maintaining records and contributing to

Qualifications

• supporting people, activities or projects
• administration or customer-facing processes
• able to effectively support and engage people from diverse backgrounds
• good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and database or record-management systems.

Responsibilities

• support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, induction, deployment and exit processes
• maintain accurate volunteer records, databases and monitoring information
• provide day-to-day support and guidance to volunteers, responding to enquiries and promoting engagement and inclusion
• support volunteer wellbeing, recognition, training and development initiatives.
