Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Rochford is seeking a Voids Electrician to join a team of 12-14 operatives. You will primarily carry out inspection and testing in void properties, with occasional entry into occupied homes to produce Electrical Condition Reports and complete remedial works.

You will work 40 hours a week, with a salary of £43,251 to £45,528 per year. The package includes 25 days leave rising to 30, a pension, life assurance, cycle to work and wellbeing support, and staff networks that promote

Qualifications

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation. 18th Edition - 3rd/4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52 and AM2; certificate originals required.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation; ability to analyse problems and implement solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Driving on company business; full valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract/specifications.
• Provide accurate progress information and maintain clear daily records.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations per procedures.
• Resolve problems or initiate resolution, keeping customers informed per processes.
• Maintain tools/equipment and replenish stocks as needed per budgets.

We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our team based in Rochford, predominately working within the Void Properties within a team of 12-14 operatives. The role will involve a variety of lone and team work with varied responsibilities. You will primarily be responsible for inspection and testing in void properties. On occasions you will be expected to enter occupied properties producing Electrical Condition Reports, as well as completing remedial works.

The role of Voids Electrician will include:

• Carrying out installation, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to 18th Edition - 3rd and 4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52 and AM2. Or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation. Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach.
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
