Job summary

Sanctuary in Sheffield is looking for an Electrician to inspect, test and carry out repairs on occupied properties, producing Electrical Condition Reports and performing remedial work. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with a company van and power tools provided, plus training as required.

The role requires compliance with health and safety rules and the ability to drive on company business; salary is £41,192–£43,360 per year, with 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.

£41,192 - £43,360 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our team in Sheffield. The role will involve a variety of lone and teamwork with varied responsibilities. You will be primarily responsible for inspection and testing on occupied properties and producing Electrical Condition Reports, as well as remedial works. You will be provided with a company van and power tools, training will be provided as and when required.

The role of Electrician will include:

• Carry out installation, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to 18th Edition - 3rd and 4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52 and AM2. Or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation. Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach.
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
