Job summary

The MD Group is seeking an experienced Void Supervisor to lead operations from the Eastbourne office. You will oversee contracts and delivery within budget, while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high service standards.

Responsibilities include supervising field teams, managing supply chain activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety, CDM, and MD policies. Office-based role with on-site execution in Eastbourne area.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds/NVQ in a relevant trade or supervisory role.
  • Experience leading a team and managing field operations.
  • IT literacy and ability to use standard software.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive repairs and voids.
  • Understanding of social housing and customer service expectations.
  • Ability to maximise productivity and measure improvement.
  • Experience delivering Toolbox Talks and team communications.
  • Clear written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of health & safety legislation.
  • Ability to write risk assessments and method statements.
  • Awareness and application of CDM principles.
  • Experience handling KPI metrics for MD and clients.
  • SSSTS, first aid, scaffold awareness and asbestos awareness.
  • CSCS supervision experience.

The Void Supervisor's Role

Working out of the Eastbourne office (Grove Road), we have an exciting opportunity for a Void Supervisor to support our Lewes & Eastbourne contracts. They will be responsible for supervising and delivering excellent operational performance and customer service in line with budget expectations. They will help maintain and build strong relationships both directly and through the Manager and contract teams.

This is a fully office based role

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the contract / area within agreed budgets, objectives and targets
  • Good understanding of Awaab's Law
  • Good knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates
  • Deliver on all contract key performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain good levels of communication between the operations team and our customer teams
  • Develop good working relationships with key clients
  • High quality service delivery on time and within budget
  • Implement MD policies, standards and initiatives
  • Ensure contracts are compliant with all legislation, Health & Safety matters, policy and good practice
  • Manage our own direct teams as well as those of our supply chain
  • Ensure all operational staff (including supply chain) understand the importance of customer service and always adhere TO MD procedures
  • Collaborate with other service managers and colleagues in the region to develop best practice and implement change
  • Work alongside operatives in the delivery of works to ensure that quality and right first-time standards are achieved and maintained
  • Carry out site works as required ensuring excellent quality of work, outstanding levels of customer service and completion of work in a timely manner
Experience/Knowledge Required
  • City & Guilds/NVQ required
  • Experience in leading a team
  • IT literacy
  • Excellent knowledge of responsive repairs and voids
  • Knowledge of Social Housing
  • Understanding of how to maximise productivity and how to measure and improve
  • Experience of delivering Toolbox Talks and Team Talks
  • Good written and oral presentation
  • Good understanding of H&S legislation
  • Ability to write RA/MS
  • Awareness and ability to deliver under CDM
  • Experience of Supervising and improving internal and external customer relationships and conflict handling
  • Understanding of KPI drivers for MD and our Clients
