Job summary

MD Group is currently seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to service contracts around Lewes and Eastbourne, delivering high-quality repairs on-site. You will be expected to manage a variety of trades and complete tasks efficiently on first visit.

Ideal candidates will have core trade qualifications, strong health & safety knowledge, and a track record of working in social housing, with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience) e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3, City & Guilds.
• Current Health & Safety Training certificates (Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments).
• Understanding and ability to use equipment and processes after training as required by the Company.
• Recent experience working in social housing.
• Experience and passion for delivering high-quality services to diverse customers.
• Tools and equipment for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality repairs across Lewes and Eastbourne contracts.
• Perform trades including plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting and plastering.
• Complete repairs on first visit where possible.

Multi Skilled Operative

LOCATION: Eastbourne

CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time

Do you have previous experience in Social Housing? Are you committed to putting the customer at the heart of what you do? We are looking for a enthusiastic Multi Skilled Operative that wants to provide high quality work to support our business and its values.

• £17.00 per hour (£35,360.00 per annum)
• Up to 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)

The Role of a Multi Skilled Operative:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to work in and around the Lewes and Eastbourne areas covering our contracts. They will need to have a good range of skills, such as general plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting and plastering. It is key that they can complete a variety of tasks to ensure that repairs/orders can be completed in a single visit.

• One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience) e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3, City & Guilds.
• Current Health & Safety Training certificates (including, but not limited to, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling & Risk Assessments)
• An understanding and be able to use effectively (after training) equipment and processes which may be reasonably required by the Company
