Job description

Location: Newbury + Hybrid

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

Who We Are

We’re here to build a network the UK can count on – one that connects people, places and potential. Because no matter where you live, what your background is, or how you get online – we think everyone deserves the same chance to stay connected, and with VodafoneThree, that future’s being built – today.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We believe that everyone should feel they belong. Whoever you are and whatever your story, there’s space for you here. We’re building a workplace where different perspectives are welcomed, voices are heard, and everyone feels safe to show up as themselves.

You’ll join a team that genuinely cares – about each other, about our customers, and about the future we’re building. From day one, you’ll be welcomed, valued and encouraged to bring your whole self to work.

Why VodafoneThree

Join us and you’ll be at the heart of change. That means building responsibly, investing sustainably and creating opportunities that last.

We’re not just expanding connectivity; we’re reimagining what a connected nation looks like. With £11bn invested in 5G and digital infrastructure, your work will directly power businesses, services, and communities across the country.

You’ll work on real challenges, with real impact, across every corner of the country. Wherever you join us, whatever your role, you’ll be helping to build a future that works better for everyone.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Be part of our Business UK function, a team that are revolutionising how customers use technology and connectivity. With our extensive range of products and services, we help all kinds of organisations – from small, local businesses to multi-national corporations – unlocking the potential of new technologies, including 5G, AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).

What you’ll do

As a Junior Digital Service Product Owner, you'll help shape digital experiences that make it easier for SoHo Business customers to find answers, resolve service needs and access support with confidence. You'll play a key role in improving customer-facing digital journeys, balancing customer needs with business goals, and turning ideas into meaningful outcomes. Working alongside Product, Content, UX, Design, Technology and Customer Care teams, you'll have the opportunity to develop your Product Ownership expertise while taking real ownership of experiences that impact thousands of customers.

  • You’ll own and continuously improve a defined area of the digital service experience, delivering measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, self‑service adoption and operational performance.
  • You’ll build, prioritise and manage a substantial product backlog, ensuring customer needs, business priorities and service opportunities are clearly represented.
  • You’ll identify opportunities to increase digital containment, helping customers resolve issues quickly and easily through intuitive self‑service journeys.
  • You’ll translate customer challenges, operational requirements and business objectives into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and success measures.
  • You’ll act as the voice of the customer, championing simple, accessible and effective digital experiences across every stage of the customer journey.
  • You’ll collaborate with Content, UX, Design, Care, Research, Analytics and Technology teams to create solutions that deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • You’ll facilitate discussions, workshops and prioritisation activities, building alignment across stakeholders and creating shared understanding.
  • You’ll support sprint planning, backlog refinement and release activities, helping teams remove blockers and successfully deliver improvements.
  • You’ll use customer feedback, service insights and performance data to identify opportunities, measure impact and inform future priorities.
  • You’ll communicate roadmap priorities, delivery progress and customer outcomes through engaging updates, demonstrations and reporting.
  • You’ll contribute to the development of conversational AI and emerging digital support capabilities, helping shape future customer‑service experiences.
Who you are
  • You’ll have experience delivering customer‑facing improvements within digital, website, e‑commerce, customer service, communications or customer experience environments.
  • You’ll be organised, dependable and proactive, with the ability to take initiatives from problem identification through to successful delivery.
  • You’ll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and maintaining momentum in a fast‑paced and evolving environment.
  • You’ll be a confident communicator who can explain complex ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at different levels.
  • You’ll bring a strong customer focus and genuine curiosity about understanding customer needs, behaviours and pain points.
  • You’ll enjoy collaborating with diverse teams and building positive relationships across functions.
  • You’ll have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, using data, insights and feedback to make informed decisions.
  • You’ll be able to balance attention to detail with a broader strategic perspective, ensuring priorities remain aligned to outcomes.
  • You’ll have experience with backlogs, prioritisation, requirements gathering, user stories or Agile delivery practices, or you'll bring transferable experience that demonstrates similar capabilities.
  • You’ll be motivated to learn, grow and continuously develop your Product Ownership skills.
  • You’ll have an interest in customer‑facing digital channels such as websites, portals, apps, search, chat, chatbots or conversational AI.
