Job summary

Catering seeks a Senior VMware Cloud Foundation Engineer with active SC clearance for a long-term programme across secure sites in Derby. The role covers design, build and hands-on delivery of a large-scale VMware Cloud Foundation environment.

You will join a senior engineering team, working predominantly onsite with potential travel across Derby sites. Start dates are late October and late November, with extensive experience in NSX, vSAN, and automation highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong demonstrable VMware Cloud Foundation experience (VCF).
• Experience with VMware NSX/NSX-T, vSAN and related tech is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with automation and complex enterprise virtualization environments.
• Experience on large transformation, build, or migration programmes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver a large-scale VMware Cloud Foundation environment.
• Support the transition from design into engineering delivery.
• Deploy, configure and optimise VCF environments across sites.
• Work across VMware networking, storage, automation, and resilience tech.
• Troubleshoot complex virtualization and infrastructure issues.
