Job description

Are you passionate about bringing stories to life through powerful visuals? Do you enjoy creating engaging photography, video, and multimedia content that connects with audiences and enhances how a brand is experienced across digital channels? If so, this is your opportunity to shape visual storytelling at a world-renowned educational institution.

At University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), our mission is to make lifelong learning accessible to all. We design and deliver a diverse portfolio of world-class short courses and qualifications across a wide range of disciplines. Continuing education is one of the most dynamic and fast‑evolving areas in both UK and global higher education. As a recognised leader in the field, tracing our roots back to 1873, we're proud to offer high‑quality, distinctive programmes for adult learners, many of whom study part‑time for personal enrichment or professional growth.

The Role

As our Visual Content Creator, you'll be responsible for producing high‑quality photography, video, and visual assets that bring the PACE brand to life across our website, marketing campaigns, and organisational channels.

Reporting to the Content Manager and working as part of a collaborative marketing team, you'll take a hands‑on approach to creating multimedia content. You'll translate campaign briefs and strategic priorities into compelling visual narratives that engage audiences and support our growth ambitions.

You'll play a key role in maintaining and evolving our visual identity, ensuring all outputs are consistent, accessible, and aligned with brand standards. Working closely with the Copywriter and Content Editor, as well as wider stakeholders, you'll help deliver an integrated approach to content, combining creativity with efficiency through the use of AI‑enabled tools and streamlined workflows.

Working within the External Engagement Division, you'll be joining a warm, supportive team that's passionate about what we do. It's a genuinely welcoming place to work, where your ideas and contributions will be valued.

Some Of What You'll Do
  • Own the end‑to‑end creation of photography and video content, from concept and creative direction through to shooting and editing, working with external production partners where required
  • Plan and deliver content for multiple channels aligned to briefs, timelines, and campaign objectives while maintaining visual consistency
  • Lead the adoption of AI‑supported design tools, establishing best practice and maintaining strong editorial judgement
  • Plan and capture authentic stories, working with students, alumni, academics, and internal teams
  • Lead the organisation and optimisation of digital asset management, including storage, naming, version control, and reuse
You'll Have
  • Experience interpreting creative briefs and translating them into visual assets for web, social media, print, and digital campaigns
  • Demonstrable experience producing high‑quality photography and video content (including use of mobile and/or lightweight equipment)
  • Strong understanding of visual identity systems and experience applying brand guidelines consistently
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external production partners
  • Experience working in a campaign‑led, target‑driven environment with a proactive and solution‑focused approach
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Basic understanding of SEO and the role of visuals in supporting discoverability
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Canva
