Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is inviting applications for two part-time Visitor Services Officer roles based in the Teesside area. You will be the first point of contact for visitors across council offices, delivering a friendly reception and helping to create a positive experience for customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, directing calls, handling post, coordinating meeting room bookings and providing general administrative support.

Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Visitor Services Officer to join our welcoming and supportive team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

About the role

As the first point of contact for visitors, you will deliver a friendly and efficient reception service across various Council offices in Stockton, helping to create a positive experience for customers and colleagues alike.

Your main duties will include:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
  • Managing and coordinating meeting room bookings
  • Providing general administrative support

Our reception services operate between 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am to 4:30pm on Fridays.

We are currently recruiting for two part-time positions (22.5 hours per week). One role will work Monday, Thursday and Friday, while the other will work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
