Job summary

Fairfield High School in England is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support visually impaired students for 37 hours per week during term time plus 5 inset days. This is a maternity-cover temporary post.

Working with a SENDCO and LSAs, you will assist in whole class settings and small group interventions, adapt materials, and maintain student records using SIMS and CPOMS. The role offers CPD, supportive team, Local Government Pension Scheme, onsite canteen, free parking, Cycle to Work,

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with cognition, learning, or SEMH difficulties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a faculty team.
• Willingness to be trained by visual impairment specialists.

Responsibilities

• Supporting student's learning in lessons
• Building student's familiarity with our building and systems
• Adapting class materials to support student's access
• Communicating with student's family
• Maintaining student files and updating SIMS/CPOMS records
