Fairfield High School is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support visually impaired students. The role is 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 inset days, with a temporary maternity cover. Salary £23,459 - £25,004 per year, actual figure based on experience.
The successful candidate will work in whole class settings and small group interventions, with SENDCO and LSAs, taking an active role in administrative support and pupil records, including SIMS/CPOMS, and liaising with families.

Actual salary for 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 Inset days is £23,459 - £25,004 per year.
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work in whole class settings and small group intervention, working mainly but not exclusively, with visually impaired young people. The successful candidate should have experience of working with students with difficulties in cognition and learning and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties and/or communication and interaction, however, training can be given for the right person who is interested and enthusiastic about working with and supporting students. You should also possess a high degree of initiative, be able to work independently and as part of a faculty team. The role will also support the SENDCO in terms of providing regular administrative support, e.g. maintaining student files, updating SIMS records, CPOMS records, support with agency referral forms, support with Annual Review paperwork

Training can be given from visual impairment specialists.
You should possess a high degree of initiative, be able to work independently and as part of a faculty team.
