Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated Vision Support Assistant to work in Basildon, supporting pupils with additional needs, including visual, communication and behavioural support. The role involves 1:1 and small-group work within an inclusive setting, collaborating with teachers, SEN staff and families.

The position is Temp-to-Perm with potential for permanent progression, starting ASAP in a supportive school environment focused on pupil wellbeing and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
• Support students with visual impairment and communication needs
• Provide positive and consistent behavioural support
• Help pupils manage emotions and develop appropriate coping strategies
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, therapists and families
• Follow individual support plans and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment
• Promote inclusion and ensure every pupil can access learning successfully
