Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Vision Support Assistant to join a specialist setting. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs, focusing on visual needs, communication and behavioural regulation.

The role is temp-to-perm, offering a pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate. You will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, therapists and families to create a safe, inclusive learning environment and help pupils build

Qualifications

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is preferred.
Experience with visual, communication or behavioural support is desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
Support students with visual impairment and communication needs.
Provide positive and consistent behavioural support.
Help pupils manage emotions and develop coping strategies.
Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interaction.
Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, therapists and families.
Follow individual support plans and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment.
Promote inclusion and ensure every pupil can access learning.
