Job summary

Bupa is seeking an experienced Virtual Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) to provide remote musculoskeletal assessments via telephone and video. The role supports customers with MSK care pathways, diagnoses, and management, with occasional attendance at Bupa Place or local centres. 37.5 hours weekly, including late shifts and weekend rotation.

This MSK-led role emphasizes autonomous practice, evidence-based care, and high-quality customer outcomes within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MSc qualification in MSK or equivalent.
• HCPC registration as Physiotherapist.
• Minimum five years' post-graduate MSK experience, incl. three years in a senior MSK role.
• Demonstrated advanced clinical reasoning and MSc-level assessment skills.
• Ability to order/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including virtual settings.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently within a MDT.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality MSK assessments via telephone and video.
• Provide diagnoses and treatment recommendations for MSK conditions.
• Direct customers to appropriate onward referrals first time.
• Manage complex or high-risk cases with escalation as needed.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and accurate records.
• Adhere to governance, policies and audit processes.
• Contribute to service development and clinical quality initiatives.
• Support learning, development and performance through feedback.
