Role Overview

This position is one of two key roles providing a unique blend of IT and AV expertise with proactive, high-touch support. Working closely with a fellow team member, you will support a high-profile individual across all personal and professional technology needs.

Key Accountabilities

Direct Technology & AV Support to the Chairman

  • Maintain and regularly check all devices including iPhones, iPads, AppleTVs, desktops, laptops, and smart remotes.
  • Ensure all key apps and services (Netflix, Outlook, Webex, Spotify, Safari, etc.) are logged in, up to date, and working correctly.
  • Support daily and ad-hoc meetings (Webex/Zoom/Teams), connecting calls and resolving AV issues live as needed.

  • Conduct routine on-site tech checks at multiple locations (London, Somerset residence, and hotels), covering signal strength, device readiness, and content access.

Company IT Integration & Support

  • Serve as the bridge between the Executive Office and the wider company IT team, ensuring alignment on updates, tools, and platforms.
  • Provide first-line support for Windows PCs, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams), calendars, printers, and backups.
  • Manage and troubleshoot enterprise tools including Confluence, GlobalProtect, LastPass, and MDM profiles.

Proactive Setup & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Prepare devices and environments in advance of meetings or travel, ensuring everything is ready before it's needed.
  • Handle related lifestyle or environment-based tech tasks — from chargers and lighting to hotel room setups.
  • Act as a calm, confident point of contact for the principal, their Executive Assistants, and other support staff.
  • Coordinate with third parties (AV engineers, service providers) to resolve issues or implement improvements.

Skills & Experience

  • Solid working knowledge of: Apple and iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, AppleTV), AV systems including boardroom VC, Sky, Webex, Harmony Remotes & Office IT: Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams), printers, backup tools.
  • Calm under pressure, quick to problem-solve live situations.
  • Confident communicator — knows when to explain, when to act quietly.
  • Naturally proactive — sees problems before they happen.
  • Mature, trustworthy, and discrete with access to sensitive information.
