Job summary

Lancashire Constabulary is looking for a compassionate Victim Care Officer to join our Victim Services team in Chorley. You will receive and respond to calls from victims via our dedicated support line and proactively offer support in accordance with procedures.

You will be their designated care provider and coordinator, building trust and delivering compassionate, person-centered assistance while managing your workload in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service role providing advice in a busy environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own workload with deadlines.
• Ability to draw inferences and make recommendations based on data/information analysis.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to telephone calls from victims of crime via the dedicated support line.
• Proactively contact victims to offer support in accordance with procedures.
• Be a listening ear, provide reassurance and show compassion.
• Take ownership for individual victims and coordinate their care, establishing trust and confidence.
