Vice President of Marketing - B2B SaaS (MarTech)

Location: New York or London

A high-growth SaaS company is seeking an experienced Vice President of Marketing or Chief Marketing Officer to lead its marketing function and drive measurable business impact. This role is suited to a dynamic marketing leader who has successfully scaled B2B SaaS organisations from £25M to £50M+ in revenue and understands the blueprint for achieving ambitious growth targets.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will lead a team of seven marketers and play a pivotal role in crafting a bold marketing strategy that enhances brand visibility, generates leads, and positions the company as a market leader.

About the Role

The VP of Marketing will be responsible for designing and executing a cohesive marketing strategy, with a focus on content and growth marketing. They will oversee all aspects of the marketing journey, from awareness to conversion and brand evangelism, while ensuring alignment with revenue growth objectives/demand generation.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to gain market share, deepen customer relationships, and accelerate growth.
  • Align efforts across product, growth, brand, communications, and events to ensure a unified and impactful approach.
  • Customer Journey Ownership: Lead the customer communication journey, improving KPIs for awareness, perception, conversion, and brand advocacy.
  • Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of seven marketing professionals across product marketing, demand generation, content, and communications.
  • Foster a results-driven culture of creativity, excellence, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Revenue, Client Success, Product, Partnerships, and Finance teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with broader business goals.
  • Develop strategies that support the SaaS buying cycle and enterprise sales processes.
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Use data and analytics to inform strategies and evaluate effectiveness while maintaining a strong focus on compelling narratives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned marketing leader with a proven track record of scaling SaaS businesses through bold strategies and measurable outcomes.

Key Attributes Include:

  • Significant experience scaling B2B SaaS companies from £25M to £50M+ in revenue.
  • In-depth understanding of SaaS buying cycles and enterprise sales processes.
  • A background in product marketing or growth marketing, with expertise in integrating content, brand, communications, and demand generation into a unified strategy.
  • A data-driven decision-maker with the ability to balance analytics with creative storytelling.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-performing teams and collaborating across departments.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and brings a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating order out of chaos.
  • A background in MarTech is highly advantageous.

This is not a first-time VP role; candidates must have relevant experience leading marketing efforts at similar stages of growth to be considered for this role.
