Job summary

SMBC Group is hiring a Vice President level Project Manager/Business Analyst in London to lead Finance Change initiatives. You will manage data analysis, technical accounting input, and automation across reporting functions within the EMEA Finance Change Team.

The role requires collaboration with IT and finance stakeholders to deliver compliant, efficient solutions using Oracle and modern analytics tools. Hybrid working is offered, with emphasis on delivering well-controlled change, accurate

Qualifications

• SQL and MS Excel data extraction and analysis on large datasets.
• Degree-level education with accounting/financial focus.
• Qualified/part-qualified accountant advantageous.
• Experience in Finance transformation/change programmes in banking.
• Experience gathering requirements from junior to senior stakeholders.
• PowerBI/Alteryx/Python familiarity.
• Understanding AI applications in financial services preferred.
• Experience leading data-related projects; PM qualifications advantageous.
• Strong numerical and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with vanilla banking product accounting (derivatives).
• Experience with Gloss and Loan IQ systems.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud and Oracle GL systems.
• Proven ability documenting, testing and executing change requests.

Responsibilities

• Draft and document business requirements into clear deliverables.
• Monitor development progress and sign off testing.
• Deliver automation and efficiency across Finance reporting.
• Provide training and data analysis to stakeholders across units.
• Ensure reporting complies with policy during changes.
• Lead user forums and progress meetings with teams.
• Provide technical accounting interpretation and forecasting models.
