Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking a Vice President to join the Exposure Management Group in EMEA. The role involves managing a portfolio of complex Project Finance loans, overseeing risk, credit grades, KYC, documentation and covenant compliance, with a strong emphasis on analytics and client liaison.

You will collaborate across credit, operations and external advisers, conduct financial modelling, monitor waivers/variations, and contribute to refinancing opportunities while upholding governance and

Qualifications

Very strong analytical skills with ability to review complex information (construction, technical and operational reports, financial models).
Experience in Project Finance or credit analysis with knowledge of KYC, documentation and covenants.

Responsibilities

Support EMG team in credit analysis, waivers, variations, and credit surveillance.
Prepare credit applications and data inputs for relevant systems and training junior staff.
Liaise with internal departments and external market counterparts to facilitate marketing and execution.
Perform financial modelling and analysis for transactions and counterparties.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
