Overview of the Role

MUFG is seeking a Vice President / Director in Credit Analysis within the Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking Department in London. The successful candidate will manage a team of 2-3 junior analysts, contribute to credit analysis workflows, and support credit transactions for Japanese corporates in the UK, Ireland, and EMEA regions.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead credit and borrower rating applications, ensuring high-quality analysis and timely submissions.
• Support credit transactions, collaborate with RMs and other offices, and develop technical skills.
• Train and supervise junior analysts, manage team activities, and report to senior management.

Requirements

• Experience in credit analysis, preferably in a front office role and in a Japanese commercial bank.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial report analysis, and MUFG credit processes.
• Relevant qualifications such as CFA or accounting degrees are advantageous.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a proactive approach.
