Job summary

Retirement Villages Group seeks an enthusiastic Event & Community Coordinator for Botanical Place in West Byfleet. The role focuses on creating a vibrant events programme, engaging residents and prospective residents, and building partnerships to showcase the lifestyle and community.

You’ll work closely with Village, Sales and Marketing teams, delivering large-scale events up to 200 attendees and supporting new residents as they settle in.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience organising events within a commercial environment.
• Experience delivering events of varying sizes, including up to 200 attendees.
• At least 3 years’ experience in customer service, community engagement or a similar people‑focused role.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Creative and proactive approach with ideas and the confidence to execute them.
• Positive commercial mindset and understanding of how events support business objectives.
• Experience working with external partners, suppliers, volunteers or community stakeholders.
• DBS check is required; Emergency First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Creating and delivering a varied, engaging programme of activities and events for residents and prospective residents.
• Organising events from small community activities to large events for up to 200 guests.
• Supporting new residents as they settle into life at Botanical Place.
• Building relationships with residents and encouraging participation across the community.
• Co-hosting events with Sales and Marketing to showcase Botanical Place to prospective residents.
• Using local knowledge and connections to promote Botanical Place and engage with prospective residents.
• Welcoming external community groups and coordinating with the village team to deliver a great experience.
• Acting as a key point of contact for residents, families and community stakeholders.
