Job summary

Bowood Court Care Home is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance residents' wellbeing by delivering engaging, person-centred activities in a supportive care environment. The role involves planning group and one-to-one sessions tailored to residents' interests and abilities, working closely with families and colleagues to promote independence and social interaction.

The position is part-time (22 hours per week) with day shifts, weekend work on alternate weekends, and a focus on safe

Qualifications

• Creative, enthusiastic and organized individual with a passion for enriching the lives of older people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• Understanding of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Knowledge of health and safety and safe activity delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities for residents.
• Deliver activities safely by following health and safety and risk assessment procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity records and adapt programmes as residents' needs change.
• Encourage participation, support hobbies, and organise seasonal events and outings.
• Work alternate weekends as part of a collaborative care team.
