Job summary

HealthJobs4U Ltd in Cardiff is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to plan and run engaging programs for residents in a friendly elderly nursing home. This 35-hour-per-week role offers meaningful daily impact and a supportive team.

You will develop activities promoting socialization, physical activity and mental stimulation, coordinate events, and keep accurate records. Experience in care is preferred; DBS checks and NVQ training are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care, assisted living or nursing home settings essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of mental health care practices desirable.

Responsibilities

• Planning, organizing and overseeing activities for residents in a nursing home.
• Developing engaging programs that promote socialization, physical activity and mental stimulation.
• Coordinating events and entertainment to enhance residents' quality of life.
• Collaborating with staff to ensure activities meet residents' needs and preferences.
• Maintaining accurate records of activity participation and resident preferences.
