Job summary

CVS Vets' Springfield Veterinary Hospital in Rotherham is hiring a Veterinary Theatre Technician with Reception duties. You will support our RVNs and Vets, manage day-to-day tasks, stock control, and prepare operating theatres, while also handling reception duties in the evenings and on the OOH roster.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and public interaction skills.
• Strong communication and empathy in a veterinary setting.
• Positive team player with resilience in emotional situations.
• Experience in a veterinary environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support vets and nurses with day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with stock control and restocking of clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Prepare operating facilities and theatres and reprocess surgical kits.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Run internal lab samples and manage biosecurity.
• Support reception, including booking appointments and processing payments, with some evening/OOH work.

Location: 39 Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2AD

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, but we would be happy to consider part time applications - let us know!

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, on a varied shift pattern, with a share in the Weekend rota

About the role:

You’ll support our skilled RVN's and Vets in providing exceptional care to our animal patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting our vets and nurses with day-to-day tasks
• Assisting with stock control and restocking of clinical and non-clinical areas
• Preparing operating facilities and theatres
• Care of and reprocessing of surgical kits and equipment
• Performing general cleaning and maintenance of equipment
• Running internal lab samples
• General housekeeping tasks to ensure good biosecurity
• Supporting the reception team when needed, including booking appointments and processing payments, working on reception in the evening, supporting the OOH team
