Job summary

CVS Vets in Animed Group is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join our Animed Shedfield team. You will manage communications, greet clients, register new clients, and help keep the front desk running smoothly in a busy practice.

Working 25.5 hours a week on a permanent contract, including 1 in 4 weekends and shifts between 8:00 and 20:00, with flexible holiday cover. You’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that puts pets first and offers ongoing development within CVS Vets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Receptionist is a must; experience in a veterinary setting is a bonus.
• Resilience and the ability to handle emotional situations with grace.
• Strong communication skills paired with genuine empathy.
• Outstanding customer service skills and experience with the public.
• Positive attitude and superior teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Respond to queries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism.
• Greet and register new clients, ensuring a warm welcome.
• Process payments and manage insurance forms.
• Organise patients using the in-house system and liaise with practices.
• Provide empathy and professionalism during distressing times.
• Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs and queries.

We're on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate animal enthusiast to step into the role of a Veterinary Receptionist at our Animed Group.

Location:

Animed Shedfield, may be required to cover at any of our other sites.

Contract:

Permanent

Hours:

25.5 Hours

Shift Pattern:

Monday: 08:30 - 19:00

Tuesday 08:30 - 19:00

Wednesday 16:00 - 20:00

1 in 4 weekends (Either Saturday or Sunday) 6 Hours

Flexible hours necessary for holiday cover, will be 8am - 8pm

About the Role:

• Inter-practice Communication: Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs and queries
• Debt and Refund Management: Make necessary phone calls regarding debts, belongings, and refunds
• Client Care: Above all, ensure that every client feels welcomed and valued at our practice
