Job summary

VC Evidensia UK invites applications for a Veterinary Surgeon at East Grinstead Vets to join a friendly, collaborative team. The role includes consultations, working up medical cases and some routine surgery, with no out-of-hours commitment and a 4-day full-time pattern (with possible part-time) and one late finish per week.

You will work with six veterinarians and two practice managers, developing clinical skills while supporting colleagues and delivering excellent patient and client care.

Qualifications

• A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Excellent patient and client care mindset and the ability to work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Consultations and medical case management with a varied caseload.
• Working up medical cases and some routine surgery.

The town of East Grinstead has a many sport and leisure facilities, a cinema and easy train links to London. Beautiful Ashdown Forest is on our doorstep and Brighton and the South Downs National Park are within easy reach. Gatwick airport is only 20 minutes away for getting away on those well-earned breaks!

Practice Highlights

We are a well-equipped practice with spacious consulting rooms and plenty of kennel space.

• K-laser
• Full in-house laboratory
• Dedicated dental room with dental x-ray.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care while leading and supporting those around you.

Day-to-day duties include a mix of consultations, working up medical cases and some routine surgery. You will be responsible for a wide range of cases with support from experienced colleagues.

Joining a team of

• 6 vets
• Support of 2 practice managers.

Working Pattern

• No out-of-hours commitment
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings only
• Genuine flexibility around working hours and rota patterns
• Full-time hours are across 4 days, part time hours considered
• One late finish per week of 7.30pm finish
