The Package
Our client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and long-established team in Helston, Cornwall.
This is a permanent, full-time position, offering an excellent work-life balance with a 4-day working week and no out-of-hours commitment. The role includes 1:4 Saturday mornings and is suited to a vet with solid clinical skills, a team-focused mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
This RCVS-accredited mixed practice has been serving the Cornish community since the 1870s. It offers outstanding facilities and a supportive, close-knit team environment. The successful candidate will be confident in routine consultations and surgery, enjoy working collaboratively, and be open to developing their clinical interests further. The team is passionate about supporting CPD, including certificates, and ensuring all team members feel fulfilled in their roles.
Located in the historic market town of Helston, the practice is perfectly placed for anyone who enjoys exploring the Cornish outdoors—from the coastal beauty of Porthleven Harbour to the countryside charm of nearby estates and gardens. Despite its rural location, the practice has great transport links and access to amenities.
The team currently comprises 4 vets, 4 RVNs, and 2 SVNs who enjoy a supportive culture and share interests from walking and baking to crafts and exploring the local coastline.
