Medivet Tiptree is a well-established practice based in beautiful North Essex. It is supported by Vets Now in Colchester and Witham after hours and additionally our 24 hour hospital in Southend. There is a network of neighbouring Medivet practices who work together.

The practice holds a high reputation in the local community. It has a strong and loyal client base and is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly team. We currently have two experienced Lead vets and are looking to replace a vet who decided to move back home to America. We are very happy to support newly qualified vets to become confident, able veterinary surgeons therefore will consider either a new graduate or an experienced vet for this position. We have a great support team, great work life balance and can consider either full-time or part time applicants.

These practice has four consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards, a fully equipped theatre with two operating tables and a prep room. Advanced facilities, including an X-ray room, dental x-rays, ultrasound, endoscopy and in-house lab. Newly refurbished reception and waiting area with a separate cat area.

The local region has three other Medivet practices with lots of fantastic vets and nurses who work together to solve cases, care for their patients and help each other to develop.

The famous Tiptree jam factory (the King's jam) is down the road, London is 50min by train, the sea is 30min, the local train station is a 7 min drive. Both Colchester and Chelmsford are within 20min drive and are great for shopping , movies etc. But being in the countryside we have lots of pubs and restaurants too with lots to explore.

In This Role You Will

• Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
• Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
• Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
• Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
• Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
• Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
• Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
  
  

Your Skills And Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
• Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
• Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
• Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
