Job summary

Animal Trust (UK) is opening a brand-new Hull hospital and seeks experienced veterinary receptionists to join the opening team. You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for clients and their pets, coordinating appointments, payments and client records while supporting the clinical team with empathy and professionalism.

As part of a 24/7 hospital, you’ll adapt to a busy, varied environment where teamwork and clear communication are essential to delivering accessible, affordable veterinary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a veterinary reception role
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and empathy with clients
• Ability to handle busy, high-pressure environments

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets, providing a friendly, compassionate first point of contact
• Answering calls and responding to client enquiries
• Managing appointments, diaries and daily reception organisation
• Registering new clients, processing payments and assisting with insurance queries
• Handling medications prepared by veterinary staff and handing to clients
• Working closely with clinical team to support hospital operations
• Supporting distressed clients with empathy and appropriate guidance
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation across reception and waiting areas
• Restocking supplies and ensuring smooth running of reception
