CVS Vets in Portsmouth is seeking a proactive receptionist to join our busy small animal practice within Harbour Veterinary Group. You will manage calls, appointments and client queries, while handling payments and insurance forms with care.

Ideal candidates will have experience in fast-paced reception roles, strong organisational skills and confidence with practice management software. The role requires on-site work and professionalism under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy customer-facing environments.
• Experience in GP surgeries or healthcare reception preferred.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Confident with computer systems and practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls and schedule appointments in a busy environment.
• Respond to customer queries via phone, email, and in-person interactions with professionalism.
• Process insurance forms and payments.
• Organise patients using the in-house system.
• Liaise with veterinary practices to address patient needs.
• Manage reception single-handedly and work independently.
