Job summary

Briar House Vets in Broadstairs is seeking a motivated Veterinary Receptionist to be the friendly first face for clients and their pets. You will handle bookings, queries, payments, and records in a fast-paced, supportive team environment.

The role offers flexibility with evenings and weekends on rota, and a strong emphasis on excellent client service and animal care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A love for animals and commitment to outstanding client service.
• Experience using RxWorks is a MASSIVE plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival.
• Book appointments and arrivals.
• Promote Healthcare Plan for discounted preventative treatment.
• Book follow-up appointments after initial consultation.
• Assist Vet and Nurse team with queries.
• Scan paperwork onto digital records.
• Liaise with clients regarding queries for bookings and medication collection.
• Order food and medication.
• Take payments following treatment.
• Maintain an efficient and professional reception desk.

About The Role

Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity in beautiful Broadstairs?

Look no further! Here at Briar House Vets, we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our incredible team as a Veterinary Receptionist.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing the very best veterinary care while creating a warm and welcoming environment to our teams, our patients, and their owners.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, you'll be the friendly face and the first person our clients see when they walk through our doors, greeting clients with a smile and giving their pets a good old fuss!

Your day at Briar House Vets could include:

• Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
• Book appointments and arrivals
• Help to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment
• Booking in follow up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
• Help the Vet and Nurse team with queries
• Being responsible for paperwork being scanned onto pets digital records
• Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
• Ordering food and medication
• Taking payment following treatment
• Managing an extremely busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism

Ideally you will have:

• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational abilities and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
• Be proficient in computer systems and software, having experience using RxWorks is a MASSIVE plus!
• Must enjoy cuddling pet - pets are everything to our amazing teams
• We can be flexible on hours - Offering evenings and weekends on rota or weekends only - rota can be discussed.
