Job summary

Vets Now is the UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, with roving duties across Southampton, Bournemouth and Portsmouth. The Veterinary Nurse will support triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care to deliver high-quality emergency services.

RCVS-registered for at least six months, with ECC experience considered advantageous. The role is full-time (40 hours weekly) across a mix of weeknights and 1:2 weekends, plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

As a roving Veterinary Nurse you will work across several Vets Now clinics, these are; Southampton, Bournemouth and Portsmouth.

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

Working pattern

A full-time role with Vets Now comprises of 40 hours per week, working a mixture of weeknights and 1:2 weekends. As this is a roving position you will work across our Southampton, Bournemouth and Portsmouth clinics.
