Job summary

Vets Now in Glasgow is hiring a Veterinary Nurse for the Out of Hours service. You will join a team handling emergencies and critical care, contributing to a diverse caseload in a supportive multi-disciplinary environment.

The role offers a salary from £35,000 with a generous shift allowance and joining bonus, and includes development opportunities with Specialist and AP vets.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard inpatient care for referral patients as well as incoming emergencies and critical care patients.
• Work within the out of hours team on the 5 nights on, 5 nights off rota (16:00–04:00 or 20:00–08:00).
• Support ongoing professional development and qualifications through coaching and mentoring.

Our Glasgow hospital offers emergency and critical care, orthopaedic, soft tissue, internal medicine and referrals, and we’re looking to add to our existing team with a weekend veterinary nurse. You will be part of our out of hours team and will be required to provide high-standard inpatient care for referral patients as well as incoming emergencies and critical care patients. This is an opportunity to work with Specialist and AP vets in a multi-discipline and supportive environment.

Working pattern

This role will be supporting our busy out of hours service:

Working on 5 nights on, 5 nights off rota, shift times 16:00 to 04:00 or 20:00 to 08:00
