Job summary

Vets Now Liverpool is seeking a Part Time Veterinary Nurse to join a busy emergency-focused clinic. You will support triage, surgery, anaesthesia and in-patient care, delivering compassionate veterinary services to our clients and their pets.

RCVS registration, a proactive attitude and a willingness to work irregular shifts are essential. ECC experience is advantageous; we offer generous benefits including private medical insurance, pension, 7 weeks leave, CPD support, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Experience with ECC caseload is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Part Time Veterinary Nurse – Liverpool

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

Working pattern

Week 1: 1 midweek nightshift working 18:00 to 09:00, Saturday from 12:00 to 18:30 and Sunday from 08:30 to 18:30

Week 2: Off

Week 3: 1 midweek nightshift working 18:00 to 09:00

Week 4: 1 midweek nightshift working 18:00 to 09:00

Week 5: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 to 09:00

Week 6: 1 midweek nightshift working 18:00 to 09:00
