Nurse Seekers are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, friendly veterinary practice that is looking to welcome an enthusiastic RVN to their experienced and supportive team.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll join a modern practice where patient care is the priority. You’ll work with experienced Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses in a positive environment that supports development, teamwork and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Previous experience within a small animal practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Caring, compassionate approach towards patients and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations, surgical procedures, and diagnostics.
• Monitoring anaesthesia and providing peri-operative and post-operative care.
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as instructed.
• Collecting and processing laboratory samples (blood, urine, faecal).
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and compliance with RCVS standards.
• Delivering client care with advice on preventative healthcare and treatment plans.
• Maintaining hygiene, infection control, and equipment sterilisation.

The Role

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations, surgical procedures, and diagnostics.
• Monitoring anaesthesia and providing exceptional peri-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments in line with veterinary instructions.
• Collecting and processing laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and faecal samples.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with RCVS standards.
• Delivering excellent client care by providing advice on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and ongoing treatment plans.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, infection control, and equipment sterilisation throughout the practice.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• RCVS registration as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Previous experience within a small animal practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, compassionate approach towards patients and their owners.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy clinical environment.
• Laboratory experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
