Job description

Are you a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic environment? A welcoming small animal practice based in central London is seeking a dedicated RVN to join their exceptional team. If you thrive on hands‑on nursing, enjoy collaborating with supportive colleagues, and love building lasting relationships with clients and their pets, this role is perfect for you.

This locally‑owned practice boasts a loyal client base, with approximately 60% of clients having insured pets. Led by an experienced Practice Owner and Vet, the team is composed of 4 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, and 5 CCAs. This multi‑talented team creates a safe and welcoming environment, providing the highest standard of care. The practice offers advanced nurse‑led appointments covering behavioural, dental, weight, pain management, arthritis, diabetes, and new puppy/kitten consultations. Additionally, the team has advanced training to perform orthopaedic surgeries and soft tissue procedures.

In this role, you will support vets during consultations and surgeries, perform Schedule 3 procedures, assist with anaesthesia and post‑operative care, take x‑rays, and run nurse clinics. You will also provide excellent inpatient care, dispense drugs according to guidelines, and maintain accurate clinical records. Although the surgery has a dedicated reception team, excellent customer service skills are essential for handling client queries and conducting nurse consultations. You will work closely with the Practice Owner and senior team members to ensure the smooth operation and continued success of the practice.

This full‑time position includes working just 1 in 4 Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm, with no out‑of‑hours requirements. Whether you are an experienced RVN or a confident newly qualified veterinary nurse, you will find a place here to grow and excel.

The practice values nurses as the heart of their operations, recognising their integral role in patient care. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to high standards. Your success will come from embracing all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role and delivering outstanding patient and client care.

Benefits
  • Competitive salary starting from £31,000 (dependent on experience)
  • CPD allowance
  • Paid memberships
  • 5.6 weeks holiday plus an extra day off for your birthday
  • A contributory pension scheme
  • Great transport links and local amenities
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards

Join this dynamic team and be part of a practice dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. Apply now to embark on a rewarding career journey.
